Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We keep pricing simple and transparent. All shades—light filtering, blackout, or semi—are the same price. No upsells or hidden fees. We require a 50% deposit to place your order, with the rest due after installation. Limited-time promos are occasionally offered.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with a free in-home consultation to take measurements, show samples, and go over your needs. We then send a detailed quote. Once approved, we collect a deposit, place the custom order, and schedule installation when your products arrive.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I was trained hands-on by an experienced installer and mentor in Dallas who helped me launch the business. I’ve continued learning through real-world experience and by staying up to date with product innovations and installation best practices.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
A good friend in Dallas encouraged me to try this after seeing how detail-oriented and customer-focused I am. I quickly realized I enjoyed both the design side and the hands-on work. I started Elevated Windows PDX to offer premium service at better prices.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with homeowners, realtors, renters, restaurant owners, and contractors. Whether it’s a single window or an entire home or business, I tailor every job to the customer’s space, budget, and preferences.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently installed 7 motorized zebra shades in a client’s living and dining rooms. They loved how the remote-control feature made life easier. The entire process, from consultation to install, took about 3 weeks due to custom manufacturing time.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don’t just shop price—ask what’s included. Some companies charge extra for blackout fabric, valances, or even install. Look for someone who gives honest quotes, has clean installs, and stands behind their work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about what kind of light control and privacy you want. Are you looking for motorized options? Do you prefer blackout or light filtering? Knowing your budget, timeline, and aesthetic style also helps us guide you better.
